Explore the native wildflowersOur founding seed collection is coming soon.
Long before gardens had boundaries, Florida’s wildflowers flourished among the pines, across open meadows, and along the edges of wetlands.
Over countless seasons, they formed quiet relationships with the bees, butterflies, birds, and other creatures whose lives depend upon them.
A native flower is more than a beautiful bloom. Its nectar nourishes pollinators, its pollen sustains generations of insects, and its leaves may shelter the beginnings of a butterfly’s life. Beneath the surface, living roots join the intricate biology of the soil, participating in the exchange of water, nutrients, and life.
To plant a native seed is to restore a small part of these ancient relationships.
Six botanical stories. Six ways to invite life into the landscape.

Golden sprays that nourish pollinators as the season softens.
A little of Florida’s sunshine, gathered into a flower.
A sunny meadow flower rooted in sandy native landscapes.
A living nursery for the caterpillars of remarkable butterflies.
Golden petals, dark centers, and seeds that can feed birds.
Our first collection of Florida native wildflower seeds is taking root at The Swedish Farm. Gathered, grown, and prepared with care, these six botanical offerings will soon be ready for your garden.
When we make room for native plants, we make room for the relationships they sustain: pollinators gathering food, caterpillars finding host leaves, roots participating in living soil, and birds returning to seed-filled stems.
At The Swedish Farm, our work begins with observation. We look to Florida’s pine flatwoods, seasonal waters, open ground, and living soil for the lessons that guide cultivation.
Preservation is not only keeping what remains. It is helping these living relationships find places to thrive again.
“Every seed is an invitation for life to return.”
Good stewardship begins in attention, not instruction.
Notice where sunlight falls, where water gathers, and where sandy soil dries beneath your feet. Choose each species for its actual growing conditions.
Grow regionally appropriate wildflowers with care. Different plants ask for different light, moisture, and space; their seeds are not one interchangeable mix.
Allow flowers to offer nectar and pollen, host plants to nourish caterpillars, and mature seedheads to serve wildlife where appropriate.
Six individually illustrated seed packets, each carrying a small story of Florida’s native landscapes and the pollinators that depend on them.
Designed as both an invitation to plant and a thoughtful botanical gift, the collection will pair beautiful illustration with ecological understanding and practical growing guidance.
Collection in development. Individual packets and a coordinated gift presentation are planned.
